“By working together, pooling our resources and building on our strengths, we can accomplish great things.”
– Ronald Reagan
The DCRP is a welcoming community that shares a vision of constitutional government that serves the people rather than serving itself. There are numerous and varied opportunities to get involved in ways that fit your interests.
Attend DCRP Central Committee Meetings: Sign up to get email notifications of the date, time and place of each meeting. Meet fellow conservatives. Learn more about our Party. Discover opportunities to become further involved.
Become a DCRP Central Committee Member: Members are elected at the DCRP’s biennial conventions. It may be possible to become a member of this core governing body between conventions, if there is a vacancy in your legislative district. If serving in this role would be of interest, complete a volunteer form found at this link: (link coming)
Volunteer for a Campaign: This can sound intimidating to those new to the political process, but it’s a lot of fun. One of the most rewarding things in politics is to volunteer for a candidate who shares your vision and values. To be more effective for those candidates, the DCRP combines efforts so we are helping multiple candidates via the same effort. We need volunteers to deliver yard signs, to make literature drops to voter residences, and to make calls to encourage eligible voters to vote. A crucial volunteer role is that of knocking on doors for a brief voter interaction and then entering feedback into a smart phone app.
Assist with DCRP Events: Everyone loves a party and some love to be in the middle of the planning and execution. DCRP events that need volunteer help include Elephant Remembers, Tribute to Patriots and the 4th of July Pancake Feed. (link each event to its page)
Technical Support: Some of you have skills! A crucial role for the DCRP is having those able to help us in maintaining and updating our website and creating graphics for our announcements and events.
Administrative Support: In the political arena, one of the most important principles is remembering to say “thank you.” Throughout the year, but especially during campaign season, we need those who can write cards expressing a thank you or congratulations. We also need part-time receptionist help at certain points in the political cycle.
How can you help? Ask! There is certain to be a role that fits your talents and interests at this point in your journey of caring about the future of our country.
